Takes about 10-15mins to make

Ingredients:

rice 1 cup
carrots 1/2 cup very finely chopped
spring onions 1/2 cup very finely sliced
peri peri sauce
chinese salt to taste
2 tbsp butter or margarine

Method:

Boil the rice and keep aside.  In a non stick pan stir fry the carrots and spring onions with the sauce and chinese salt for 5-10 mins.  You can add the butter or margarine at this stage or save it for later to be mixed with rice.  Add the boiled rice and stir in the butter.  Fry for another 2-3 mins.  Place in a small bowl and firmly press from top.  Let the rice set for about 5 mins and then invert onto a dish and serve!!!!

DelAyS and ABsentEES

The lack of good internet...a much awaited break from the real world...and the worst excuse of all...preparing for an exam...the list is long and pointless.  The important thing is I'm back and crazy as ever with a whole new set of ideas for cooking and weight loss.

Summer's here...while that makes me happy it also means that the food now will be more fresh...more vegie oriented hence less calories and more taste.  It also means that it will make weight loss easier.  I suggest we all focus on filling ourselves up with drinks like lemonade...made without sugar ofcourse...and just let the sweat and heat take care of the rest.  It will not only keep you hydrated but is also great for the skin.

Will be back with a yoga article for back-ache soon and new recipes along the way too!
